The Iron Maiden

Many will remember the 1962 British Film “The Iron Maiden”. Filmed around Bedfordshire involving several engines and characters from our Society, the film has stood the test of time in the steam world and is fondly discussed.

At the 2011 Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre, a display was bought together as a tribute to our Founder and President, the late John Crawley who was the Technical Advisor to the film and starred as a female double in many scenes.
